Howard-Tilton Memorial Library Special Collections (Tulane University)
Special Collections is the administrative division that oversees the library's rare, fragile, archival, or other holdings needing special care. Many are internationally-renowned research resources, such as an outstanding collection of Jazz oral histories, the Lafcadio Hearn Collection, and the papers of Jefferson Davis. Our goal is to make these materials accessible in a manner that ensures their safety while also being comfortable and welcoming for researchers.
