Letter from Haller Nutt encouraging Alonzo Snyder to run for election as a delegate to the secession convention.""I look upon the Union as gone beyond hopethe commercial interests of New Orleans are too important to take hasty steps." Nutt says that he believes that secession will happen but hopes to wait as long as possible. He prays for reunion with all but the New England states.
