This is a studio seated full-length portrait of two naval officers in uniform. Admiral David Glasgow Farragut, Commander, Western Gulf Blockading Squadron, sits on the viewer's right, Commodore Percival Drayton, Capitan of Farragut's Flagship "Hartford" and Captain of the Fleet, sits on the viewer's left. The verso inscribed, "Farragut & Drayton," and "Com. Percival Drayton."
