Robert C. Caldwell's account of his campaigns and travels through the Civil war from when he left home on September, 17th, 1863 until he returned home on April 25th, 1865. Robert served as a private in Young's Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery, primarily in the Wilmington North Carolina area, but also in Georgia and South Carolina.
