Letter from Confederate soldier Robert C. Caldwell to his wife Mag Caldwell. Robert is serving as a private in Company C., 10th Battalion, North Carolina Heavy Artillery near Wilmington, N.C. Robert writes from Camp Jackson, and gives Mag instructions for her upcoming visit to him in camp. He asks her to bring food, clothing, and 200-300 dollars, and tells her to get someone to stay with her sister Martha.
