Franklin County, before 1863. Alexander Jackson Ash, born December 31, 1839 and died in 1863. Mr. Ash served in the Civil War with Co. H, 34th Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry and was killed during the Battle of Vicksburg. He is buried at the Hebron Presbyterian Church located in lower Banks County near the Hudson River. Mr. Ash enlisted in Banks County.
