These are letters to and from the Duggar family of Marengo County, Alabama during the Civil War. Reuben Henry Duggar (1837-1925), received training as a physician in Virginia and Pennsylvania and returned to Marengo County to practice medicine. Also includes correspondence of Henry Duggar, Reuben Duggar, and Daniel Duggar (d. 1837), brother of Henry. Some family correspondence contains information on Civil War conditions.
