This collection consists of thirty-three letters written by Thomas T. Bigbie to his parents and his wife between June 21, 1862 and July 1, 1864. Bigbie enlisted in Co. G, 33rd Alabama Infantry Regiment, in May 1862. He was captured near Peachtree Creek at Atlanta, July 22, 1864, and sent to Camp Douglas, Illinois, where he died October 17, 1864.
