These are five letters from F. C. Sollie to Major Charles White, brigade commander of Savannah, Ga. concerning quartermaster business. Sollie was a Confederate captain stationed at Camp Milton, Fla. In the span of five letters, the supply hardships faced by Confederate forces by 1864 is well illustrated. The difficulty of trying to handle current supply needs through the use of mail correspondence, and the maintenance of accurate records is shown also.
