Title:Woodward Family Papers
Description:

The papers span four generations and have been divided into four subgroups, each with a similar arrangement: diaries (if available), correspondence, business, legal and financial papers and miscellany. A fifth subgroup, photographs, spans generations and is thus self-contained. Subgroup S. H. Woodward includes five series: Diaries, Personal Correspondence, Business Correspondence, Business and Legal Papers and Miscellaneous. The four series cover both private and public interests of S.H. Woodward. Subgroup J.H. Woodward reflects multiple personal and business interests. There are six series within this subgroup: Diaries, Personal Correspondence, Business Correspondence, Business and Legal Papers, Miscellaneous and Martha Woodward. Subgroup A.H. Woodward is the most extensive and diverse of the subgroups due to a wide range of interests and involvement. There are six series: Diaries, Personal Correspondence, Business Correspondence, Business and Legal Papers, and Miscellaneous. Subgroup J.H. Woodward II is the smallest of the five subgroups. Three series exist here, Correspondence, Business and Legal papers and Miscellaneous. Subgroup Photographs includes family pictures, as well as business-related promotional pieces. These photographs cover the lifespan of J.H. Woodward I to J.H. Woodward II. Includes hunting photographs from A.H. Woodward and different stages of the development of Woodward Iron Company.
